Adidas' Survival

I use this blog as a way to "scrapbook" our family memories and to share it with family and friends.  I also like to record funny moments and significant events in our lives.  I try to keep everything short and simple because that is all I have time for right now in this season of my life.

Well this story is a crazy one that I want to document...
When we went away to Florida to visit my parents, we had a 6th grader friend watch our cat Adidas.  The night before we left, Nate went to feed her and she never came to eat.  We couldn't do anything, locked all of our doors and left.  I told our friend the situation and we had our whole neighborhood and the animal control officers on alert.  ADIDAS WAS OUTSIDE AND MISSING!  In the midst of packing, our front door broke and we had to use our side door.  We were convinced that our indoor declawed cat got outside during our coming and going from this side door.

Well, Adidas did not get out and she was in our sun room for 9 days.  (She NEVER goes in this room and must of followed Nate in there the night before we left.)  When we returned, the kids were determined to find her.  They ran all around the house and Grace found cat poop on the carpet in the sun room and screamed, "SHE IS DEAD."  We figured if she was in the house, she would be found dead.

Then she opened her eyes and the kids screamed, "SHE IS ALIVE!"  She walked out and acted like nothing ever happened to her.  As you can see in these photos, she is up to her normal antics...

Jumping on the dinner table (much to our dismay)
 And playing with Clara
