July 2015

July was FULL of fun.
We went the Duck Donuts that opened in Fairfax.  The donuts were delicious!

Marta loved the cats at the Pet Shop.  She doesn't remember our cat Adidas.

We learned about Hedgehogs at the library.

We played morning BINGO at Chick-fil-A and won a few times.

Marta's therapist gave her some blocks and she made a lot of tall towers.

Marta and her friend Evie sharing sippie cups.

Grace took a weeklong volleyball camp at George Mason University.

We made yogurt parfaits at cooking class.

We spent a lot of time at the pool with friends like Brenda and her daughter!

At Marta's one year check up, she took a few steps across the pediatrician's waiting room.  Cheers erupted from all her sisters and brother.

Lots and lots of lemonade stands in the neighborhood.

Met my friend Erin for brunch.

We went to a Simon Says Art Party in Haymarket.

And Uncle Brian and Aunt Alayna had us over for a crab feast for our July's birthdays!

VBS 2015 - craft room

I helped with Safari VBS this year (July 2015) at church and was put in charge of the craft room.  It was a lot of fun and the crafts were colorful and ones that were memorable.

Day one we made elephants from milk jugs and tissue paper.

Day Two was Conversation Safari Jars.
This involved a lot of gluing at home.

Day 3 was fridge Jeep Magnets

Day Four was yarn art - huge hit with the kids.

Back from Michigan

It was so great to have the kids back from their time in Michigan in July.  Clara and Marta went with us to the airport and waited at the gate for them to get off the plane.

Sam quickly got acquainted with his room again.  He got a new bed and desk while he was gone.

I renovated Grace's room while she was away.
She was thrilled with the results and so excited to have a fun new place to be.
This was her excitement when she saw it for the first time.
