Christmas Women's Dessert

Our church's women's ministry put together an evening of desserts and caroling for Christmas.  I organized the desserts and they were fabulous.  Everyone made great red, black and white themed desserts.

December Snow Days

The kids got a few days off of school in December for SNOWdays!
This is what a snow day looks like at our house.

Clara loved being outside and took little breaks to watch the kids playing.

"Hi Mommy!"

This particular snow day also happened to be Ellen's 4th birthday!

Georgetown Mansion at Christmas

This Christmas, we went on a house tour and gingerbread workshop at Martha Washington granddaughter's estate in Georgetown.  My mom joined us and we did a full tour of the house.  Afterwards we made gingerbread houses in the original carriage house.  Great time as a family.

Children's Museum

We love a great children's museum!  This one is very laid back and full of things that the kids can touch and do on their own.  I took the kids the day before Thanksgiving and we had a blast.  It is so nice that all the kids enjoy the children's museum together - something for every age.

Sleepover for Sam

My brother and his family took the older three girls so I could get ready for the family get together we hosted at Thanksgiving.  We let Sam have his bud Carter over so he could have some playtime.  We met some other friends with 2 boys at ChickFilA for a VIP event - so fun to have four boys together for dinner.

They were laughing so much the whole night.  This is a glimpse of them in their towels coming out of the shower!

Reading "Farmer Boy" with Nate.  Carter was doing his nebulizer (asthma) during the story, it was really cute.  The cat doesn't help.

The next day they did a little dress up - no GIRLS around!
We also took them to the Comic Book store and let them each pick something out.  That was heaven to them.

Thanksgiving Feast!

Sam's school does the best Thanksgiving Feast to celebrate Thanksgiving!
They had a full Thanksgiving dinner made by all the parents of the class.  Sam was so proud of all his artwork.  He just loves his teacher.  She dresses up for all the holidays - just like a kindergarten teacher in my dreams.
