Carter and Sam

Sam's pal came over to play and playtime almost always means CRAFT TIME to me!
I put them to work making little "huggies" for my party the next night.  As you can see, they had a lot of samples in their mouths and a few kisses were bitten off.

Hershey Egg Hunt...

I love how Ellen poses with her arm!

Hershey Park! Fun from their eyes...

We really enjoyed seeing things from the kids perspective on this trip.  I tried to make sure we (or I) didn't have expectations to be at Hershey Park all day.  We found that it was best for us to go in the evenings.  The crowds were much thinner at night, especially since it is Spring!

This was cracking me up.  How does she know to hold her hands in the air?  Ellen kept saying, "Mommy I am so brave."  Another random thing is that she is calling her watch, "Weight Watchers".  "Mommy, I want to wear my weight watchers."  HILARIOUS
I spent a lot of time holding Clara while the kids rode the rides or Nate went on roller coasters with Grace.  It was fun to see the kids so thrilled!

Happy baby!  Tasted a little bit of funnel cake.

Sam's first roller coaster - so exciting and nervous!  Look at their hands!

This is probably the only ride I did the whole weekend - I am turning into such a baby but I can't take the jerking around and dizziness.  I get enough of that in my life.
Just a little bit of reality...
Seriously, who could of thought that the Chocolate World ride that teaches the kids how chocolate is made could be so exciting!?!?

Hershey... a few of my favorite things

 1.  I asked the housekeeping service to do an egg hunt in our room.  It was hilarious.  The kids had no idea that I had purchased eggs and the maids hid the eggs in such funny places and we kept finding them over the weekend.  What a treat for the kids!

2.  The kids events over the weekend that we could "pop in" on...  Specifically we loved the Chocolate Bingo and the Easter Cookie Decorating.  It wasn't very crowded and they were included in our stay.  It was very relaxing for Nate and I to have these events planned for our family and not have to create activities.

3.  They placed chocolate everywhere.  When we checked into the Hotel, they handed us all a full size Hershey's bar.  We received Hershey Kisses at the nightly "tuck down" service on our nightstands.  Our soap in our rooms smelled like chocolate.  The gift shops and restaurants in the hotel had chocolate in the bowls in the front of each area.  And this was near a water stand!

4.  Okay if someone is going to do Easter baskets for my kids, I would rather have Hershey do them than Oriental Trading!  The staff made wonderful Easter baskets full of Hershey's chocolate! Nate woke up early and took photos of all the baskets lining the hallways!  I get so excited sometimes that I have five kids, especially in times like this!

5.  The egg hunt on the property was well done.  They did over 2000 eggs, had it timed precisely and broke it up into age groups.  They had a few golden eggs (Rita got one!) and all the eggs were stuffed with many pieces of Hersheys candy.  My kids are officially pros at Egg Hunts now.

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

I love Ellen's age right now.  She is about 3 1/2 and everything is so fun for her.  She is experiencing a lot of things for the first time and I love life from her eyes.

This is our neighborhood's egg hunt.  This was her first egg hunt where she actually understood what was going on.  But, she was convinced that it was better to open the eggs, take the candy and leave the eggs on the ground.

Clara's 7th month

Clara's 7th month included a lot of traveling, napping, eating, drinking and not sleeping at night!  She also started to move - not crawl - but more of a drag-her-body on the floor.
She is also my first NON thumb sucker.
