Market time!

I took Sam and Ellen on a special morning adventure to a market.  I might as well make grocery shopping an adventure from time to time!!  It was a great place to feed a growing family like mine.  It was hard to take too many photos and supervise my kids appropriately (Amish kids don't play Angry Birds) so I am limited to these few photos.

We LOVED watching the horses and interacting with the Amish and Mennonite farmers.  I have a special place in my heart for Amish - don't ask me why.  Nate always tells me that I need to stop being "into the Amish" because the Amish don't shop at Nordstroms and have women's ministry craft events at their churches.  I guess I am not willing to give those up to be Amish.

What I bought: 4 Dozen Eggs (will last two weeks)
8 Quart of Strawberries (lasted us four days)
3 helpings of lettuce (the most delicious, velvet-like lettuce you have ever tasted or smelled!)
Flower for our HOME!  This was the main thing I wanted to get and I got a haul!

  1. Which market is this? I have a special love for the Amish too! We have only been to the one in Annapolis. Is there something closer?
