Happy 7th Bday!!!!

Wedding!

Whew, we haven't been to a wedding in a while and this weekend's wedding was so special. Our neighbor Kathryn got married after a long, hard couple of past years. It was such a fun time to celebrate, meet their family and friends and REJOICE! I am so happy for them that I am bubbling!

My favorite things about this wedding:

Intimate - 65 guests and met/talked w/all of them

Simple but elegant - Yellow Roses and Tulips

Delicious Food - the dinner was the best wedding food ever

Bride and Groom included their children in everything

Rehersal and Reception in homes - relaxed, comfortable and classy

I could go on and on....

My friend Sarah hosted the reception - she is a fab decorator - isn't this a great way to block the stairs??!! (Sarah does has four under four and a set of twins.)

And on a closing note... these were the cutest appetizers. See what I mean? The wedding was full of cute stuff like this but I had to stop taking so many photos!

Taste-Mobile

Last Friday, I took the kids out of school so we could go on a field trip to the Jelly Belly Taste-mobile. It was fun. They had a cupcake decorating contest and a chance to taste all these weird flavors of beans - the kids LOVED that.

Deciding how to decorate... the kids win $100 if they have the best cupcake. Grace did a rainbow design and Sam did a goldfish. Rita did "crazy hair."

Tomorrow is Grace's 7th birthday.

We celebrated with a park party 2 weeks ago. I won these cupcakes (3 boxes of them!) at a school auction... a good reason to have a party at the park - cupcakes!

Father Daughter Dance - 1st Grade

This was a fun night for Nate and Grace. They went to the Father Daughter Dance at school. Here are some photos from before the dance...

This is hilarious.

Last year and this year, Nate has seen this dad sit in the lobby during the dance and read a book during the event.
