Pig in Vienna!

There is a house in Vienna that has a huge statue of a pig in their front lawn. The kids always beg to drive by it. It isn't out of the way - but on a back road. We found it one day driving in the neighborhood to beat a red light. It is now our little tradition. The way that they decorate this pig for holidays is hilarious - fathers day, memorial day, etc. This week, the pig was the funniest we have ever seen. The kids LOVED it!!

We are having a girl!!!

We are having a baby girl and the big girls are thrilled!
It is God's perfect plan for us!!!
Many have asked, "How is Nate?"
Nate is just fine and we are enjoying Sammy, our little boy.
I bought new crib bedding already and am getting ready for the little princess...
We are really struggling with a name though, any suggestions?
We don't want to use the letters:
N, A, G, R, or S.

Baby**MOON**

I put bunch of photos on Facebook of our overnight adventure at Chick Fil A in La Plata, MD. They had a grand opening also and we had to go... it was only 45 minutes away. This time we were picked in the raffle (everyone was - all 120 people). It was a fun fun fun experience. I was with three other moms from church with our 16 children. The kids had so much fun and I didn't have to recoop much the next few days because Marvin and Lindsay were here and helped SOO much!! We have already used three of the coupons and have enjoyed our CHICKEN!

Speaking of help... Marv and Linds took the girlies up to Michigan for the week to spend time at the lake with Grandma and Grandpa, with Lindsay's family and Aunt Betsy. It has been so nice to spend time one-on-one with Sam. We have done a lot of adventures - you know me. Nate has helped me clean the house and closets to get ready for this baby too. We need to make room! Here is Prince Sammy enjoying his playtime...

Our First Lemonade Stand

The kids had their first lemonade stand on Saturday. We colored signs all week in preparation for the event. It was hilarious how many people were stopping. Grace and Rita do not understand money yet, they just thought they were giving people lemonade. Cars were stopping, bikes were stopping, and all the neighbors came out! We watched them from the window but did not help them at all. Maybe that is why they made so much money??!! And we don't know where the leftover Rice Krispie Treats went either...

30th Birthday was GREAT!

These are some photos from my WONDERFUL birthday yesterday! Thank you to all my friends and family for making it so fun.

My unofficial Letter to Chick Fil A

Dear Chick Fil A,
I had to write you a letter on my blog to apologize for underestimating you and being upset that I wasn't chosen for the "First 100" event! I really didn't want to go back to your restaurant but by lunch time, I couldn't wait any longer to go to the Grand Opening!
I went with Nate's mom and the girls. I was very embarassed that I started to get very emotional in front of the store owner. But, I had to tell him about my sob story of it being my birthday and being pregnant and not being picked! In fact, I had to tell everyone that I saw that had a Chick Fil A nametag about my story.
So I ended up with 12 free meal coupons, 3 free milk shakes, photos with the cows, 4 stuffed cow, free breakfast, and a brownie sundae. So Chick Fil A, thank you for redeeming yourself and we can get back into our old relationship again. Maybe I will be there for the next store opening???
Still a big fan,
Andrea
P.S. Although I didn't spend the night, my friend Donna gave me some of her coupons that she won. Can you believe the thoughtfulness??? I cried!

5:30 AM and not picked....

I am very disappointed about this morning. The event is call "First 100" and for the first 100 people at the Grand Opening of a Chick Fil A. I woke up and got to the parking lot of Chick Fil A at 5:30 AM with a friend. It was very professionally and well run.

There were over 400 people there. It was so crowded! We got into groups of 25 and wrote our names on tickets and then they drew the names. The even extended it to the first 110.

I was happy for my friend Donna, she got number 102. But even when a few people dropped last minute, my name and my other friend's name wasn't picked. Nate is happy to see me at home! I am very happy for Donna, she is there right now hanging out at her tent.

This is Donna getting her ticket.
